PTI worker killed in Nowshera; ANP’s Mian Iftikhar arrestedon May 31, 2015 at 11:09 am
Nowshera: A political worker of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was killed in the early morning hours of Sunday. ANP leader Mian Iftikhar has been arrested in the murder case.
PTI man, Sher Khan filed an FIR of murder and attempted murder of the leader of the Awami National Party. According to Sher Khan, ANP leader ordered his guards to open fire on a PTI rally when he passed in front of his residence.
After the FIR was filed at the police station Pabbi, police raided the residence of Mian Iftikhar and arrested him. Currently, the leader of the ANP is in Pabbi police station. Upon receiving the report of his arrest, workers and leaders of the ANP came to the police station in large numbers.
According to previous police report, the PTI activists erupted overnight in celebration of Pabbi in Nowshera Bazaar to celebrate the victory of his party in the elections of local bodies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to previous reports, party workers resorted to aerial firing to celebrate the festive occasion of the party’s victory in the local bodies elections. A stray bullet hit an activist, who was immediately transported to hospital. However, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The deceased has been identified as a teenager Habibullah.
