Spokesman says director Sanjay Leela Bhansali reports that actress Deepika Padukone has paid around Rs 11 crore for his next film Padmavati are completely false.
According to reports, Deepika is the highest paid actress in Bollywood and after bagging a Hollywood project and delivery of back-to-back blockbusters of Bollywood, which has raised its quota.
“Reports surrounding the distribution remuneration luxury ‘Padmavati’ are completely false. The rumors are unfounded and blown out of proportion,” spokesman Bhansali told IANS.
Only recently, Deepika has also emerged as one of the highest paid actresses in the world. She is also making her debut in Hollywood with xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, starring Vin Diesel.
To be directed by Bhansali, Padmavati is also starring Ranveer Singh. Deepika and Bhansali have teamed for a third time after the success of “Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is keeping mum on her casting in Padmavati of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, but the costume designer of the film has left the actor is indeed on board for the period drama. There have been numerous media reports about Ranveer cast in the film, and some suggested that re-unite with Bhansali, while others claim that the actor had a fallout with the director and opted out of the project.
