ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) today expressed satisfaction at the conclusion of the elections and thanked the overall performance of electoral staff, law enforcement to conduct local elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a press release from the ECP he has congratulated voters of the province, especially women, who left their homes to exercise their right of franchise.

The ECP is committed to take action against allegations of corrupt practices, etc in elections as by law.

More than 80,000 police officers and 35 companies in the Pakistan Army carried out tasks to ensure the peaceful conduct of
the poll.

A total of 84,420 candidates elections 41 762 seats contested. No less than 11,211 polling centers with 31,059 ballot boxes were installed in the entire province.

The polling stations were staffed by personnel 135 447 polling stations. Staff training was completed before the implementation of the survey.
